Market Place Ministry
Marketplace ministry is a combination of both business and ministry which for many is a new approach and concept. STAAR Foundation’s mission is to “Enrich lives through education, training, resources, and cultural diversity.”
This is a redemptive work for those underserved, marginalized, those who have lost precious time, disrupted their families and careers. For many so described, we are talking about “redemption” which requires empathy, insight, and dealing with one’s unconscious biases. We say one foot in ministry and the other foot in business.
Marketplace ministry then is a unique calling, one that requires strategies interlinking secular business, organizations, institutions, with overriding ministry objectives. STAAR Foundation has embraced this “new mindset,” understanding that today, God is calling into the marketplace, those “from His church,” and “those of the business world,” into charitable projects and kingdom dynamics.
Stepping outside the four walls of the traditional church, Marketplace ministry is where God’s kingdom people are involved in stewardship, charitable activities, professional development, cultural competence, business projects, government, economic distribution and strategies that impact communities. All the while, like Joseph and Daniel, demonstrating wisdom and integrity in the things of God.
STAAR Foundation’s marketplace ministry is called Living Stones Equipping Ministry. This is where marketplace ministers gather and fellowship together, to learn, pray, and strategize kingdom marketplace purposes together.
