STAAR Foundation staff, volunteers, and partners, is comprised of folks, having years of direct, hands-on experience
in various fields -- and credible messengers.
We have come together interdependently, we prioritize a practitioner approach in serving marginalized youth and adults.
Oklahoma faces significant workforce deficits. Shortages, in fields such as healthcare, skilled trades, and technology.
To address these gaps faced, STAAR Foundation believes, there is untapped potential in Oklahoma's marginalized communities.
Communities like justice served and those who live in our section 8 housing communities.
Research says, power skills, formerly known as soft skills are key. Power Skills help shape communities for the workforce.
Power Skills are transferable, skills such as adaptability, empathy, and effective communication,.
